Presentation of the book "Cooks in Ibiza" by Marta Torres and Toni Escobar

Eleven stories of eleven Ibizan women, heiresses of the culinary tradition of the island and who became professional cooks with the arrival of mass tourism to the island. The story of a radical transformation of the island and the testimony of protagonists who were often hidden behind the kitchen, at a time in which the jump to the star of the chefs was yet to come, imposing a predominantly masculine vision. It is a fair tribute to the traditional, depository and transmitting cooks, generation after generation, of the richness and wisdom of Ibizan cuisine, capable, like all traditional kitchens, of getting delicious dishes using humble ingredients.
